Theo de Witt - Managing Director

Theo has been employed as a management consultant since obtaining his BCom degree in Information Systems (1995) from the University of Pretoria. Theo also completed a Programme in Project Management (2001) at the University of Pretoria, qualifying him as a certified programme and project manager and attended and presented various international ICT and business courses. Prior to Blue Platinum, Theo held the position of Senior Manager at Bentley West Strategic Management Consultants and Senior Business Analyst at Accenture, formally known as Andersen Consulting.

In Theo’s career of approximately 13 years as a management consultant, he has gained valuable local and international consulting experience working in the Government, Process and Energy, Mining, Retail, Financial Service and Telco industries across the strategy, process, people and technology subject areas. Theo is a corporate performance & improvement and turnaround specialist and his core expertise is to understand and analyse large and medium sized organisations from a strategic perspective to advise and assist them in evaluating and defining what should be measured in order to manage and improve the performance of their organisations.

He assists organisations to obtain a single “line-of-sight” between their strategic intent and the enabling components required to achieve this in order to achieve strategic alignment and integration on all levels. Theo operates as a trusted advisor, providing in-depth and informed guidance that senior executives have found invaluable when faced with important strategy, business and technology decisions and changes. Theo is regularly is invited as a Speaker to local events to share his learning’s, experiences and knowledge in his areas of expertise.

Andrea Duffin - Director

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Information Systems (1994) from the University of Cape Town.

Andrea is a founding member of Blue Platinum. Her career spans 15 years of consulting, initially as a SAP consultant and then as a management consultant. She has local and international experience, previously working at EDS Africa, Interim Technology in the UK and at Bentley West Management Consultants. Currently, in addition her consulting, she practices as an executive coach.

Her experiernce spans various industries including financial services, retail, process and energy, mining and Telco industries. Her diverse background and experience within these industries, coupled with her subject matter expertise in the business strategy, ICT, people and organisational development domains, has led to a solid skills and experience base in these areas.

Bruce Jones - Director

Bruce holds an MBA from UCT and a Civil Engineering degree.

After working in a variety of industries & roles for 20 years, including Civil Engineering Consulting, IT sales & marketing, Strategy Consulting for Andersen Consulting, SAP & SAS Institute, Bruce became adept at placing organisations’ information strategies – operational, reporting and analysis requirements - into a business perspective. His best strength lies in the ability to understand a business’s corporate goals and strategies, with subsequent information requirements that will support those goals and strategies, and how best to leverage technology to deliver to those requirements.

It was with these skills and experience that Bruce returned to his area of passion, namely business consulting.

Projects that Bruce has worked on include:

	Design and definition of strategic business goals and key performance indicators on all levels within the organisation initiatives,

With his broad and lengthy experience, Bruce gains the confidence of senior executives on all of the projects that he works on. This invariably results in him also filling the role of trusted advisor and in some cases mentor to his clients.

Mary-Lyn Foxcroft - Director

Mary-Lyn has had a varied academic history and career. Her formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Speech Therapy and Audiology, a Masters in Communication Pathology, and an MBA from UCT. From early in her career, Mary-Lyn’s leadership qualities found her taking on a variety of roles ranging from Head of Department at a special school in Cape Town, to turnaround consultant at Rainbow Farms. In 2002 she applied her analytical skills at the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UCT’s Graduate School of Business where she managed and coordinated the South African part of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, an international research project on global entrepreneurship, involving 37 countries. Prior to joining Blue Platinum she gained experience at eBucks, a financial services rewards programme, as head of Partner Acquisition and Partner Management.

Mary-Lyn has a successful track record delivering solutions through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Her expertise lies in strategic relationship management, implementation of strategy, and process improvement. In her spare time she is an avid wine taster and recently became a Cape Wine Master.
